From Dmitri and Sandra: “We loved the colors they chose for their Maui Wedding, a Hawaiian citrus palette in peach, yellow, and bubblegum. “

From Dani at Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design, “We wanted to create something that was soft and intimate, something that added to the stunning venue and view. Stunning lush moments, such as the ceremony arch and the greenery overhead at dinner, really made the space sparkle and had guests whispering wow as they entered.”

From our bride Ary, “My biggest advice is to trust your wedding planner, and even though things may not go as planned- your wedding day will be absolutely perfect because you are celebrating your big day with your closest family and friends in the most beautiful island!”

From our Bride, Ary: “After looking at countless designers and boutiques in NYC, I chose my Reem Acra gown after trying on so many gowns! I was looking for a modern but fun gown that was fun to dance and light and airy enough for Hawaii. I loved the flower appliques that adorned the gown and matching veil.” The wedding shoes were Amina Muaddi and Jimmy Choo.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

A magical moment from the wedding day was the freshly chopped coconuts that the couple provided to their guests. They were either infused with natural coconut water or rum from the bar. These coconuts were truly unique. The wedding planners also surprised the couple with specialty branded ones with their names and logos!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

“The intention in the florals was not to compete with the stunning Hawaiian landscape but rather intertwine a soft garden touch to the day. Wedding day florals strayed away from the typical tropical options you so often see at a wedding in Hawaii and instead went with stunning garden blooms like lisianthus, roses, and zinnias. Greenery was specifically ivy, enhancing that intimate garden vibe in the floral décor.” ~ Event Designer, Dani of Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning and Design

The wedding cake was a simple three-tiered cake with a stunning pop of florals. In a tribute to their Hawaiian location, it was lilikoi (passion fruit) flavored—the perfect complement to their day.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]”Our ceremony was so special because my uncle was the offiicant. We performed our own vows and it turned so emotional so quickly! The ceremony was in both Korean and English that was very special to our family and friends who attended.
Our favorite moment of our wedding day was listening to our speeches and being able to perform our own vows. Although we were legally married a year and half ago- it felt so special to get married in front of our loves ones again! We waited so long for this day and it felt so amazing to see the results of more than 2 years of planning! I loved going through the reception and finding all the small details that were thoughtfully planned!”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Ary surprised Leo with an outfit change for her reception. She wore the foxiest bespoke mini by Cult Gaia.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]”Our reception was so special because of the intimate dining set up that was perfect for our smaller guest count. The long tables adorned with candles and flowers evoked the intimate dinner party feelings I was after. We loved our speeches from our close family and friends! Leo’s family video tribute did not leave a dry eye in sight and it was important to have them a part of our wedding since they were unable to attend. “[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]”Alaina of Lumaca Paper captured our citrus wedding colors perfectly! We wanted to evoke the Hawaiian sunset with our color scheme. We chose Lumaca Paper because it was a sustainable letterpress studio that gives back a portion of sales to replant trees. We chose Papel & Co for our day of stationary. We chose peachy tones and decided to choose a flower laser cut welcome bag tag. They were a perfect addition to our Apolis Aloha Bags!”[/field]
