A Golden-Toned Autumn Wedding on the Coast with Lanterns Instead of Flowers

Warm golden colors from the surrounding coastal landscape in the fall season were chosen to create a seamless palette from the acres around Castle Hill Inn, the gowns for Jess’s friends, and the tablescape and tent decor. The look was as if the autumn breeze blew in the most beautiful blooms from right outside the tent door to the tables and ceremony arbor.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]In lieu of bouquets for her attendants, Jess chose the girls to carry vintage lanterns, which shone beautifully in the golden hour sun. The vibe was a jovial, family-focused event with family playing a big roll in the wedding – from bridesmaids to groomsmen and also officiant! [/field]

Cans of local beer, Narragansett Ale Fresh Catch, were passed along with mini lobster rolls and other seafood hors d’oeuvres, including a full raw bar. Dinner was a multi-course plated meal prepared by the chefs of Castle Hill Inn.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Flowers and a huge overhead floral installation were chosen in seasonal shades and varieties of gold and pale pastels. Some tables had centerpieces while others had small antique bottles with only a few stems. The head table was dotted with centerpieces of all sizes. Bridesmaids carried bouquets and female attendants carried lanterns. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]A small cutting cake for the ceremony only was on display, while guests enjoyed plated cake. [/field]
