[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Adam and Ciera’s New York City garden wedding was part vintage, part grand, and all romance—a vision that stemmed entirely from the perfect pair of high heels and what can only be described as a Cinderella moment.
During wedding planning, Ciera attended a Manolo Blahnik event with Adam in tow—with the sole intention of picking up a pair of the designer’s classic Hangisi heels. When she arrived, however, her eye was instead drawn to a pair of deeply distinct heels boasting delicate hand-embroidered blue flowers. Ciera tried them on, fell in love, and knew she had to have them.
The designer stunners went on to become the ultimate muse for Ciera’s wedding design. Her planner, Liz (of Elizabeth Hall Events), allowed the Manolo Fiorata heels to inform and inspire every aspect of Ciera and Adam’s “Something old meets something blue” wedding. Purposeful pops of blue (ranging from steel to sky to periwinkle) punctuated an aesthetic that boasted antique-inspired details and sophisticated simplicity in all the right places.
The couple was married at 620 Loft and Garden—and the night itself was one of those rare Manhattan nights you only get once or twice a year, defined by perfect temperatures, a stunning sunset, and the loveliest dinner under the stars. The ambient tune of NYC was cut by the drop-dead amazing voice of Jenna Wynne and her band via Hank Lane. After a delicious kosher dinner, the guests made their way inside to dance and instead were first surprised by the groom singing Till There was You to his new wife.
The evening continued with the hurrah, dancing, and all the revelry in the world—with guests leaving with both the indescribable buzz of a great New York City evening….and (just as importantly) custom blue-and-white cookies from the beloved William Greenberg Desserts.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]In March 2022, one week after their one-year dating anniversary, Adam told Ciera they had to take one of his clients to lunch. When Ciera finished getting ready, Adam was waiting in the living room and said he had one more anniversary present for Ciera. He gave her a photo album of pictures from their relationship with notes added. On the last page was a hand-drawn picture of the elevator in the couple’s building paired with the text, “What’s next?”
They walked out of their apartment, where, to Ciera’s surprise, the hallway was lined with rose petals. He guided Ciera to the roof of their building, where she was met with more rose petals and 300 roses. It was a beautiful, unseasonably warm March day and Ciera’s favorite Taylor Swift song, Enchanted, was playing. Adam dropped to a knee, proposed, and Ciera—by now you know—said yes! They went on to celebrate with their families at the Crosby Hotel, followed by dinner at Kuxe in Greenwich Village (the restaurant they went to on the day they said, “I love you” to each other for the first time).

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Ciera is a fashion girl at heart—so she chose both her wedding gown and wedding-weekend attire with all of the intention in the world.
With Sophia Richie’s wedding fresh in her mind, Ciera chose a vintage Chanel shift dress from What Comes Around Goes Around in Soho to wear to her rehearsal dinner. About a week before her wedding, she was still trying to track down white Chanel slingbacks to complete the look. When she mentioned this on a call with her planner, Liz immediately reached out to her personal shopper contacts who found a pair of coveted tweed slingbacks (score!).
For her day-of dress, Ciera fell in love with a timeless gown she found at Emily Hart Bridal in Overland Park, Kansas (her hometown). She knew she wanted her mom and grandma to experience the dress-shopping process with her, so her mom scheduled two appointments when Ciera was back home. While she didn’t expect to find “the one” at either of these appointments, she couldn’t stop thinking about the simple elegance of a Emily Hart Collection dress she tried on. The long train, buttons, and simplicity of the gown checked all of her boxes—and she added a custom-designed pair of sleeves to bring in a bit of playfulness. (Psst…she threw her sleeves in the air at the reception—for a new take on the traditional bouquet toss—and the photos of this moment are some of Ciera’s favorites!)[/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Adam is a lover of color—so the couple knew run-of-the-mill black digs wouldn’t do. Instead, he went with a bespoke Alton Lane midnight-blue tuxedo. The deep blue hue ended up complimenting the chuppah flowers perfectly.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Ciera and Adam wanted to create a dining experience that was rooted in refined classics and encouraged meaningful connection.
For cocktail hour in the garden, Simply Divine created two signature cocktails that perfectly encompassed Adam and Ciera’s personalities and preferences. “Adam’s Negroni” (gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, orange peel) was a total classic—while “Ciera’s White Linen” (gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, elderflower liqueur, cucumber slices, soda water) felt fresh, inspired, and effortless.
Guests enjoyed a seated dinner under the New York City sky—amidst an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical—and, as expected, the miso-glazed black cod was a fan-favorite. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Throughout every guest touch point, Liz aimed to recreate, not just the look of the Manolo Blahnik heels, but the feeling they first inspired in Ciera—a cross between love-at-first-sight that catches you by the best kind of surprise and age-old romance that makes you feel right at home.
Stationer Nicole Catherine Ferguson of Every Little Something crafted the dreamiest letterpress invitations complete with custom-curated stamps and a hand-painted envelope-liner landscape that transported recipients world away to the romance of Italy (where Ciera and Adam honeymooned).
Taking notes from the antique aesthetic of the Manolo Blahniks, Liz chose a beautiful vintage lace overlay from couture linen rental company Nüage Designs for the reception tables. Nicole then carried on that same vintage feel in the gorgeous blind-embossed menus she created, which were inspired by an antique French picture frame. The combination meant guests were met with a show-stopping moment upon finding their seats—which is exactly what Ciera wanted.
Whisper and Brook created the most nuanced florals that perfectly paralleled the heels: romantic, eye-catching, and defined by distinct pops of blue. Hydrangeas, garden roses, and light-blue delphiniums stole the show everywhere they appeared—and a chuppah that was the definition of lush quickly became one of the event details guests couldn’t stop raving about. (Ciera’s father-in-law even gave some of the floral design a second life by planting delphiniums in his yard).[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]“Simple—but sophisticated and stunning” was the name of the game with Ciera and Adam’s wedding, and the cake was the ultimate embodiment of this concept. William Greenberg designed a clean, classic three-tiered stunner.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]When Liz found out Ciera and Adam refer to each other as “Bunny” and “Bear,” she knew she had to incorporate their pet-names somehow—but she wanted to do so in a subtle and sophisticated way. Look closely and you’ll find Nicole’s custom bunny and bear illustrations in the couple’s invitation suite, on the reception bar front, and as cutouts on guests’ tables. Ciera was blown away and said it felt like, “our little inside secret.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Adam surprised Ciera with a beautiful rendition of the Beatles’ Till There Was You at the reception. It was Adam’s parents’ first-dance song at their wedding—and one he debuted in the shower for Ciera about a month before the wedding (making it the perfect combination of something old and something new).[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The Chuppah is such a meaningful part of a Jewish wedding, so the goal was to make sure this piece was a true focal point and show-stopper from every angle. Whisper and Brook went above and beyond to create that “dripping in florals” look the couple wanted—with an incredibly lush combination of greenery, blue hydrangeas, and white roses. It really felt like an effortless extension of the venue itself with its dreamy garden vibes.
