[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]This wedding on Martha’s Vineyard set itself apart with the bride’s clear vision for an upscale “coastal grandma vibe.” Maeve and Connor chose to host their wedding at Maeve’s parent’s summer home on the island. This allowed them the flexibility to transform the space into a wedding venue for the evening while still being able to feel at ease and snap photos in the family garden.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Three weeks after Maeve moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, she ran into Connor at a local brewery. Soon after that day, they went on their first date, where they rode scooters around the city and enjoyed the local fare. Connor proposed about a year and a half later. That day Maeve had made brunch plans with some of Connor’s family. Connor got ready for his usual Saturday mornings at work, sending Maeve and her company off to brunch without him. That morning the city was also covered in a surprise snowstorm, the biggest it had seen in years. Maeve didn’t think Connor would be in attendance, but when she arrived, the restaurant was closed due to the weather. Connor came out from behind the corner and surprised her with a proposal alongside all her guests.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The meal began with homemade focaccia with garden herb pesto and a green salad, followed by morning glory butternut squash ravioli for an entrée. Drinks included a champagne truck by The Bubbly Brit and their signature cocktails: the “Spicy Maeve-arita” and the “Cold Fashioned.” Guests had a variety of desserts to choose from, including wedding cake and heart-shaped cookies.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The wedding day included plenty of pops of blue, homestyle decor, sweet and fancy fine China, and cozy outdoor raffia chairs. A romantic outdoor ceremony was held on the lawn, where bridesmaids in layered floral dresses began the procession down the aisle lined in garden-fresh white florals. Guests were greeted during the reception with a glass of bubbles from the vintage champagne school bus while they enjoyed an evening of upscale dining in a relaxed backyard atmosphere.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Maeve and Conor served a baby-blue, tiered white cake with white roses on top and strawberries between the layers.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]”Our amazing wedding planner Sandy had her mom paint a gorgeous backdrop for printing names for our guests to find their seats at the reception. Connor and I now have one of the prints hanging in our house.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]”Our first look, separate from everyone and in downtown Edgartown, was one of my favorite moments.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]”We also loved spending all of the time at the cocktail hour with our guests, eating freshly shucked oysters from the Vineyard, and spending the time in the relaxed environment of our front yard (not having to travel from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was amazing).”[/field]
