The bride wore three different dresses for the occasion. The ceremony dress was a modern, customized Anne Barge Mikado scuba ball gown from En Blanc in Los Angeles. The reception dress was a fitted trumpet-style Galia Lahav with 3D embroidered silk flowers in a romantic silhouette from the Galia Lahav Los Angeles flagship. The third dress – debuted during the surprise Chinese lion dance – was a traditional red and gold Chinese “qipao” from East Meets Dress.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]

As self-proclaimed “foodies”, the bride and groom placed high importance on the quality of food and drink served. Their guests also included those with vegetarian preferences. Catering was provided by Tres LA Catering and featured a variety of beautifully arranged appetizers like flank steak skewers with chimichurri, spicy tuna over crispy rice, and balsamic roasted vegetables. Cocktail hour featured signature cocktails from Mama’s Medicine. It included one of the bride’s favorite cocktails – ranch water, a refreshing mix of Patron Silver, jalapeno, lime juice, and Topo Chico, along with a seafood tower. For dinner, guests chose one of 3 options – seared ribeye, black garlic, miso-glazed bass, or the vegan truffle risotto. Dinner was then followed by late-night appetizers that included mini Reubens and fried chicken bites.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

JnJ Floral provided over-the-top, beautifully arranged floral decor that complemented the classic and elegant theme as well as the architecture of the mountain venue. The florals featured white peonies, roses, hydrangeas, and anemones. The ceremony and reception were both held on the property’s circular helicopter pad. A custom platform was built to provide the perfect setting for the couple to say “I do” during the ceremony, and it would later also be the stage holding the 14-piece band and the dancefloor for guests.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was a simple 3-tiered strawberry and cream cake from Fantasy Frostings decorated with more flowers.

The bride and groom also valued live wedding music. They were recommended Downbeat, who put on an incredible performance that left guests raving. The couple selected a string quartet for the ceremony, a guitarist for cocktail hour, a 14-piece band—the A-List—and a DJ for the reception.

The couple hired celebrity magician Johnny Wu, who mingled and entertained guests in both English and Mandarin during cocktail hour.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple’s first dance was “Back at One” by Brian McKnight, which was performed live by the A-list.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The bride is Chinese and wanted to add a special, traditional element to the wedding. The couple hired Immortals Lion Dance to perform a surprise lion dance that featured 5 lions. This was accompanied by the last outfit change where the bride wore a traditional Chinese qipao and the groom a matching bowtie. [/field]
