Roman Inspired Wedding Inspiration With a Modern Twist at Hotel Villa Sermolli

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]Our inspiration to create this fine art wedding editorial, was the ancient buildings of old The old tuscan villa, nestled in the middle of tuscany hills and the history of the old romans where our main inspiration for this shoot! We wanted to give it a modern twist with the use of pleated silk fabrics, modern wedding cake and timeless marble pieces. Especially the weathered facade of the Villa Sermolli where the main inspiration for pur color palette and the “feel” for our shooting! [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The color palette was inspired by the ancient villa Sermolli itself, where the shooting take place. The warm blush and rose tones and dusty blue accents. The old weathered facade has a amazing color palette of natural blush, red and vintage rose tones which we wanted to take up for our shooting.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]The ancient Villa Sermolli was build in 1602 in the middle of mellow Tuscan hills in a small village called Buggiano Castello. The Villa was restored carefully and turned into a amazing boutique hotel. The enchated garden os truly the heart of the villa – where we also did the ceremony setting and cake cutting.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We choosed the old Limonaia for the long table setting, long velvet table cloths as a base together with wooden chairs. Marble busts where our main decor theme for the table but also for the escort card table. Bigger Marble busts for the table and small ones as guest give aways with the escort cards. The table setting was created amazingly lush, with fruits and flowers – like at the a old roman festivities. Marble candle holders and velvet tablecloths where again the contrast of old and modern. [/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]Our absolute highlight of course was the jaw-dropping “spilling vintage car” our florist created! With hundreds and hundreds of flowers floating out of the car to the ground. The vintage car – we decide for a vintage fiat 500 in a light blue color as a contrast to our blush flower color palette. [/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]Marble pieces of all kinds – marble candle holders, mixed with soft flowing fabrics. Lush table setting look created with lots of fruits beside flowers and food on the table.[/field]
