Modern Romance On The Shores Of Cyprus

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]We used only black and white at this lovely wedding for a very sleek and modern feel.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The couple wanted something that would make an impact on their guests from the moment that they walked in. The vision was to be incredibly romantic and very modern and clean. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]This is a tear jerker! The couple are high school sweethearts, and our ultra romantic groom Fayez, proposed to a stunned Raneen on the very spot in the playground where he asked her to be his girlfriend all those years ago. Their friends played an important role in getting Raneen to the school without raisins suspicions and Fayez had adorned the area with candlelight. An easy and tearful YES followed an emotional proposal on one knee.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The gown was hand made in Jordan and designed just for Raneen. The gloves were exactly on trend and the pearls echoed the detailing on the wedding cake, adding a subtle touch of glamour. The main feature though, aside from the cathedral length veil, the flowing train and the thigh high split, was the removable over skirt. The dress transformed effortlessly in to a show stopping bridal mini dress. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids were the only soft touch of colour. Amidst the modern black and white theme, the maids wore soft blush satin dresses. For full coordination, they got ready and helped the bride in matching blush satin robes.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]From the first moment I met Fayez, he was telling me about his black tie wedding day style. He looked super stylish in a crisp black tux and bow tie, with glowing white shirt. His father and brothers served as his grooms men and they all looked dapper in coordinating and formal black and white ensembles.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]In Jordan, the food is a huge element of weddings. So Raneen and Fayez wanted to make sure their guests appetites were satiated. This involved lots of Mediterranean flavours and dishes local to Cyprus as well as international favourites. The live cooking and carving stations went down a treat with their guests![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]This was an extremely important element for Raneen, as she also has a back ground in design. The aesthetics were very high on her priority list. Over the dance floor, she chose to make an impact with a sky full of fairy lights. For the dining tables, we chose to implement round and long tables, allowing the best use of space and a variation in centrepieces. We wanted to go for a clean, almost minimal look with the flowers but still giving a full, lush table scape. Clear vases and glassware helped achieve this clean finish and this was further enhanced by the transparent chairs. For the modern edge, we used statement black candles and for one splash of colour, rose gold thank you cards were awaiting each guest as they sat down. The tables seemed to glow at night, with soft festoon lighting in the leaves of the trees and real candlelight on the tables themselves.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The pearls that adorned the cake mirrored the pearls on our brides gown and veil. They wanted a classic white cake, but with a modern touch which the pearls achieved perfectly. The brief given for the size was ‘as tall as the groom!'[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony was a personal one, performed by the family’s priest who came from Jordan especially for the union. The uninterrupted sea views and the energy of anticipation from the guests was enough to make this ceremony memorable, but Raneen also opted for two statement floral installations to pull focus to the bride and groom. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

The couple partied hard on the dance floor and even bought in a live sax player to keep the energy high.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The couple had a logo made out of their initials which was used on the thank you cards at each place setting. They also gave all staff working the wedding a badge with the logo on.[/field]
