A Peach & Pistachio Color Palette at The Beach Club

Primavera in Italian translates to Spring. We aimed to capture the delicate textures of the first spring blooms in everything we gathered for this day from the hand-stitched fabric petals on the menus, and the floral printed ceremony dress, to the details on the table, sun-drenched window sill, and stairway at cocktail hour. Sorbet and citrus tones turned up the color story to an otherwise soft, pastel palette.

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The sorbet color palette of peach, citrus, coral, and pistachio green appeared to be lit from within by the venue’s large, arched windows. Light bounced from all angles from the southern-facing walls. The perfect location to create a blooming, spring setting for the bride and groom to have their first look and portraits. [/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]The Beach Club is a beautiful venue that has elements of old-world architecture outdoors on the patio space overlooking the lake and modern finishes within. Both are fitting for this design approach to a textural, spring wedding. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]A romantic off-the-shoulder dress in a light green floral pattern made it feel as though we were being true to the moment of spring. The light fabric allowed the warm sunshine against her skin during their first look and portraits. We wanted it to feel like she was wearing her favorite dress and ready for the sun after a winter indoors. His wardrobe, romantic as it is fresh with the spring green shirt and white linen suit looks fitting in the space next to her dress. Peachy, strap sandals with a small heel melded the effortless look together perfectly with the blooms of her bouquet and grand, window installation. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Peaches and cream, and all the muted coral tones for this shoot complete with sweet pea, lisianthus, ranunculus, small citrus elements, daffodils, genestra, and hellebore alongside kumquats, citrus desserts with meringue and bowls of sculptural endive and cauliflower in wooden bowls.[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]One of the many favorite design elements from this day is the warm, wood chair in the space that grounds the design and creates a balance of a smooth texture against the embroidered texture of the table linen. The coral ribbon on Ann’s bouquet brings whimsy to the otherwise formal room, the feeling of spring is effortless here. The styling of Ann’s naturally wavy hair into a side ponytail by Heather Trachel continues the design’s textural elements throughout the look. We loved how the desserts at the table worked harmoniously with the flowers on the table. Both look delicious enough to eat. The staff at Damico Catering created a beautiful presentation on the scalloped plates of citrus tart, candied kumquats and citrus slices, meringue, and pistachio sprinkles. The neutral-toned flatware handles didn’t disrupt the flow of the color palette on the tables making an even color story across the tablescape. Last but not least, the styled kumquats, endive and pistachio green cauliflower gave all the color we could ever want on a light-as-air table. [/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]We kept the floral and wood tones within the same monochromatic palette alongside the touch of green glass on the table. It kept the look feeling as light as air on the table and bouquet; nothing too saturated or it would have drawn the eye too much in one direction. Curating the floral and fruit ingredients and rental selections by tone and texture was key to the look. [/field]
[field title=”DIY Moments”]On the day, when Claire fitted Ann in the maxi reception dress with balloon sleeves, she wanted a bit more of a waist without using sparkle and used the same coral, velvet ribbon as the ceremony bouquet to tie an empire look for the romantic champagne toast and reception attire. [/field]
