The colors for Annie and Kyle’s wedding were inspired by wildflowers. They wanted their guests to feel as if they were hiking through the alps and happened upon a wedding taking place with a stunning snow capped mountain as the backdrop, sprinkled with colorful wildflowers.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Annie and Kyle met 3 years ago on an on-line dating app and hit it off instantly. They wanted their wedding day to feel like an intimate celebration with a vibrant energy for their 130 guests. A European vacation spent hiking inspired their wedding day Alpine European style and Everline Resort & Spa in Squaw Valley was the perfect venue. The Lake Tahoe area is special to Annie and Kyle. Kyle grew up in the area, and the two fell in love there when spending “covid summers” together.

Their outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour were complete with snow capped mountains in the background. The “just-picked” colorful florals in the tablescape are reminiscent of mountain wildflowers and complimented the beautiful floral napkins. This motif extended through-out the paper items of the wedding day too. The stunning blue fondant wedding cake complete with cherries completed the European alpine feel.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Annie and Kyle spent months creating their own Limoncello from lemons they grew in their backyard. They even bottled it and created a brand for the drink “moltigatti” – or “many cats” in Italian. They toasted to their marriage at the beginning of dinner and everyone took a Limoncello shot. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Annie carried a wedding bouquet filled with blooms of white and “something-blue”. The “just-picked” colorful florals in the tablescape are reminiscent of mountain wildflowers and complimented the beautiful floral napkins. This motif extended through-out the paper items of the wedding day too. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The stunning blue fondant wedding cake complete with cherries completed the European alpine feel. The cake had a retro feel that was so fun! [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Annie and Kyle shared their first dance to “In Spite of Ourselves” which has some very comical lyrics. Throughout the dance they sang to each other, twirling around the dance floor as if they were in their own world.

They dined under the stars this June 24th evening, toasted with Limoncello and Annie sported an adorable short mini-wedding dress complete with fur wrap for the dancing. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The couple had to find a new venue just a few months before their wedding. While they were originally hosting their event on a private estate, it became clear that permits were going to be an unexpected hurdle and they had to pivot. They worked with Merrily Wed and found a new venue – Everline Resort – signing the contract before ever seeing it in person. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Annie and Kyle were initially planning on a boating day on Lake Tahoe the Sunday after their wedding. With the incredible snow pack from the previous winter, Annie & Kyle went skiing with their wedding party the next morning to celebrate their union![/field]
