One look at my home design and you’ll see gray-on-gray is pretty much my love language. Luckily this couple took the same approach with their modern warehouse wedding and let a palette of neutrals speak for itself. Dear friend and bridesmaid, Kelsey of DiDomenico Design was the creative force behind the bride’s gown, and Kim Stockwell photographed the day all inside The Vault.
KK & Josh had a modern city wedding with a fine art twist. KK is drawn to fine art inspired imagery & wanted to make sure her portraits reflected that. She also wanted a true urban setting for her ceremony & reception. We worked together to balance her contrasting visions to create an experience that was fitting for the modern day couple. We chose a private residence on the historic streets of Richmond as the setting for their portraits. It was the perfect European inspired location to fit her fine art portrait dreams.
Her dress was made by dress designer Kelsey Dominick of DiDomenico Designs. Kelsey is also a great friend and bridesmaid and even made last minute alterations to the dress moments before the bride walked down the aisle. The groom Josh a hopeless romantic wrote the song that KK walked down the aisle to, they also shared their first dance to this song. The reception was all about the city they love so much. True to the rising Richmond trend, Food trucks provided the catering for their reception. It gave guests a true Richmond city dining experience. The reception was held in a historic 1940’s warehouse that was once home to East Coast Freight lines.
