Jewel-toned same sex wedding editorial inspired by the 1920’s in New York City

The Manhattan skyline was the backdrop for this lovely 1920’s Art Deco wedding inspiration from photographer Judson Rappaport. This couple, their outfits (!) and jewel toned florals make for some beautiful sneak peeks into fall..

Judson says, “My inspiration from this project came from a book I read in college, talking about the semi secret/unknown history of the popularity of Gay culture in the 1920’s in NYC. Alongside the glitz and glamour that’s the 1920’s was known for in cities it was one of the first times gay culture was kind of openly celebrated. So since we are in the 2020’s officially I wanted to create an art deco inspired editorial taking some elements of 1920’s Gatsby-esque party with modern touches. I tried to marry intricate art deco patterns with modern more minimal decor. Utilizing florals to bring in the romantic touches to our 1920’s inspired details like our champagne cart!”
