Fall barn vibes with terracotta and peach and gorgeous late summer wild flowers

Rich summer-to-fall earth tones like rustic peach and terracotta are quickly becoming some of our very fave color palettes around here, especially for all those October + November celebrations on the books. Not to mention, all the fall barn vibes Emily Elizabeth Events styled for this Maine editorial already have us thinking of the brunches, bridal showers, and friendsgiving feasts they might inspire beyond weddings themselves. Scroll on through Jamie Mercurio‘s images to see what we mean:

A little background via Emily Elizabeth Events… This editorial is inspired by the fields, forest, and farmhouse that make Garden Gate at Haley Farm such a magical place. I wanted to honor its history as a farm and general store, but also keep it eclectic stylistically—a blend of old world, bohemian, and modern tastes. My hope was to evoke the feeling of a place where time stands still, where you can drink small glasses of wine for hours on end while nibbling on meats, cheeses, and fruits.

The farmhouse setting sure does look perfect for fall, doesn’t it?

The flowers are a little bit wild and untamed, with greenery and ribbon trailing. The wood chairs are mismatched, the terracotta plates warm and inviting, and the glassware simple. Peaches and cherries tumble down the length of the tablescape. The table is set underneath a big tree at a corner of the house, with pockets of shade and sunlight filtering through the branches. The letterpress paper goods are printed on rose and peach hued stock. The sweets are plentiful and include sugar cookies pressed with edible flowers, a multi-layered caramel drip cake, another topped with donuts (a nod to the general store vibe), and finally, a croquembouche piled high.

Honey and bee-themed products were another central theme. A sage bee’s knees cocktail, honey sticks, beeswax taper candles, and honeycomb are favorite details. A roll of kraft paper hangs against one of the outbuildings with a Victor Hugo quote, “Life is the flower to which love is the honey.”
