Your Jaw Will Drop Further than This Bride’s Plunging Back Dress

When L.A. fashion blogger, Visions of Vogue offered to share a look into her boho-glam wedding day, we couldn’t say YES fast enough. She wore what might be one of the coolest wedding dresses to ever hit our pages – well done, Galia Lahav – and the entire celebration followed suit. Treat yourself with a trip to the full gallery of pretty shot by Andy SEO Studio.

From The Bride…Matt and I first crossed paths at Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas. He was a native Chicagoan and I’d been a Southern California girl for as long as I could remember. While an unlikely spot to meet your future spouse, Matt knew exactly what he wanted after a few hours of playful banter and was determined to pursue it! Six months of sassy text marathons later, we rendezvoused to accompany each other to a wedding on our first official date. Within 5 minutes of meeting again, Matt told me he had gotten a new job in Los Angeles and asked me to be his girlfriend right before kissing me for the first time. Talk about sweeping me off my feet!

When Matt proposed, I waited about 2 hours to start planning. My girlfriends told me to relax during the first few months of being engaged but I loved every bit of planning! My vision was to create a glamorously bohemian affair that was chic, classy, and cohesive above all else. Attention to detail was key and every design concept was woven together seamlessly to deliver an effortlessly stylish evening.

My favorite part of wedding planning was picking out the dress. As a lifestyle blogger, finding something unique that represented who I am was so important. I fell in love with Galia Lahav’s designs and after meeting her at a trunk show, knew I couldn’t wear anything else. The pearl encrusted bodice, low back, and abundance of tulle on my dress made for such a dreamy combination. The theme for our wedding unfolded from there!

The venue was the second most important part to us. We wanted a destination that our guests could enjoy since most of Matt’s side was from Chicago so we began our search in Temecula’s wine country. We stumbled upon Villa de Amore and knew almost immediately it was the perfect fit. Having just come back from a trip to Italy, the villa was the perfect memory of our travels and the architecture was absolutely stunning! The 360 degree vineyard views made for an incredibly romantic background too.

When it came to color, the timelessness of a neutral wedding was undeniable. I wanted to incorporate my inner bohemian too so I decided to mismatch neutrals throughout the event. Each of my bridesmaids selected her own dress in beige or gold. Sequins, patterns, and lace were all welcome! I wanted to be practical and have them love how they looked on our wedding day. All the girls got ready together at Wilson Creek Manor where our entire wedding party stayed during our wedding week. It was such a fun experience to have our closest friends share that experience with us and made for some hilarious memories!

When it came to decor, I scoured the internet for one of a kind pieces to incorporate. From the gold scroll place cards to our map guestbook to crystal chandeliers, Etsy had everything I could think up and then some. I had Soiree Design create hand tied bouquets and loose flower arrangements throughout the venue using a variety of white and champagne colored blooms. Rose petals lined the aisle and hanging florals decorated the courtyard which offered a pretty backdrop from every angle. For linens, we mixed and matched three patterns to really elevate the tablescapes. Metallic votives and mercury glass vases lined each table in a free flowing fashion. Each table was named after a nightclub Matt and I had been to together in honor of how we met. For dessert, we had a gelato bar with six custom flavors dreamt up (and taste tested) by us.

When our wedding day arrived, everything turned out so amazingly! All of our vendors helped us produce something unparalleled and for that we are truly grateful. It was such a magical day and we couldn’t have asked for anything more than celebrating with our guests under the stars. Just like everyone says, it truly was the best day ever!
