Truth be told, once the COVID-19 catastrophe came into our lives, we had some trouble with the word “reception” (and all of its semantic cousins: event, party, soiree, etc.). Social distancing protocol and guest count restrictions have a way of doing that – making a wedding reception sound kind of like an oxymoron, right? But we’ve since changed our tune, because couples are celebrating their love just as powerfully as they would have during pandemic-less times, no matter how many people are present at said party! Big or small, intimate or extravagant, a reception is a reception is a reception as long as there is a reason to revel, and there’s no better occasion to do so than when two people commit to forever-lasting love.
