Rich hues of blue reflect the Groom’s career
in the Navy and their shared love of the sea
From Wendy Laurel…The bride and groom are Kate and Chris who are both originally from Alaska. Chris is in the Navy and the couple lives here on Oahu now. Chris has a love of naval architecture and Kate is a talented artist. Their wedding details and style reflected all these elements.
Kate chose rich blues for the color of her wedding to reflect the Navy and their shared love of the sea. Bright and deep colored florals accented the hand dyed muslim blue tablecloths. Chris’s love for naval architecture was shown off in the naval blue prints included in the invitation suite and hung at the reception. Kate’s artistic talents created the hand drawn invitations, table favors, table numbering, and signs throughout the reception. Touches of Alaska were included as well such as Kate’s Dad’s antlers from hunting in Alaska. And of course Hawaii was everywhere from the blue sky and ocean to the golden sun and the vibrant palm trees.
