Life Lessons with Abby: Empathy

Today we built houses with marshmallows and spaghetti then created a drawing of a house with the focus on empathy – so we built a home that a homeless person would find comforting! Here’s how you can take this lesson home with your kids.

Read the kids’ definition of what Empathy is:

“Empathy is the ability to understand how someone else is feeling or to understand the situation they are in. It is the ability to “put yourself in someone else’s shoes” and to understand the way a situation might make them feel.
