Intimate, formal wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Art

“Less is more” was the concept behind Angelique + Bryce’s museum wedding—any details included were there to complement the true meaning behind their day, nothing more. Gallery hoppers from artistic backgrounds (both models, Angelique is also a dancer and Bryce, an actor), they felt at home amongst artwork at the Baltimore Museum of Art, which laid the foundation for the clean, elegant, formal wedding to come. Photographer Kristin Piteo’s organic, editorial style was the perfect match for capturing each moment:

Their Wedding Style

The bride explains, Bryce and I always thought that our love is louder than we are. Black and white was the perfect option. It complemented the space and was a curated to nod to our individual styles. I personally am a “no fuss no frill” kind of girl and less has always been more so it was so rewarding when people said, “It was so you.” Angelique wore a timeless long sleeve Pnina Tornai with buttons lining the back and silver shoes for a chic accent. During the reception, she donned a sleek white pant suit.

A Museum Wedding

Angelique always knew she wanted to get married at an art museum, which was a natural fit as they’ve visited them together since early on in their relationship. The Fox Court in the Baltimore Art Museum captured her vision perfectly with its intimate yet impactful, muted yet elegant interior.

Her favorite moment: The ceremony by far. It sounds cliche but time stood still. From the moment I took my first steps with my dad into the space, I was taken aback. You spend soooo much time conceptualizing, worrying, planning and the magic of the day simply took over. Everything was more than I imagined. A tone was set by the music and overall atmosphere. The love was thick in the room. And the sense of peace I had during the ceremony itself was something I will never forget.

Planning the Wedding

Angelique and Bryce met at a neighborhood church in Brooklyn in 2018, but it wasn’t until they connected outside of church for the first time, in 2019, that sparks began to fly. Two years and many long-distance periods later, Bryce popped the question during a photo shoot. They began planning in the summer of 2021, securing their venue, caterer and florist before setting planning aside to enjoy their engagement for a bit. (Good plan, if you ask us!)

Having lost close family members on both sides during their engagement, the most difficult part of planning was doing so while grieving. Angelique says, How do you plan a joyous occasion while grieving the loss of pinnacle people you imagined would be there? We had to pace ourselves, allow ourselves to feel the shifting emotions, take on what we could with each task and allow people to help us.
