Hopefully you’re here because you just perused day 1 of Ankita & Sankalpl’s nuptials. (If you missed it, click here to catch up!). On the wedding day, the couple and their 80 guests met at Grad Štanjel in Slovenia for an intimate mountain top ceremony and romantic reception inside the stone hall of the medieval castle. Thanks to CARA creative co. and Aluna Weddings for sharing!

Isn’t this ceremony space a dream? Love the elevated, slightly boho look and different seating options for guests.

The bride and groom each donned yet another amazing look, including Ankita’s Sabyasachi dress.

The bride tells it, On the wedding day, Sankalp and the guests made their winding way dancing with dhol (Indian drums) into the garden where the ceremony took place. We had our ceremony at the Ferrari gardens of the Grad Stanjel (Štanjel Castle). It was a very intimate and beautiful ceremony overlooking the mountains with our friend officiating.

For the ceremony, they combined the warmth and fun of a culturally Indian wedding, and the emotion of an intimate humanist ceremony to really make it their own.

As part of the ceremony our mothers performed heartfelt and personal readings in English and Hindi after which we exchanged personally written vows. We chose to exchange jaimalas (flower garlands) to seal our marriage as a symbol of our commitment and love. We then moved on to the courtyard of the castle to celebrate with dancing, singing and loads of good food till late into the night.
