100 Heirloom Pumpkins and a Rad Bridal Cape for this Harvest Wedding

Whitney, who’s a graphic designer + illustrator, shares some #bts insight: It was really important to me that the day felt like US, so I tried to include thoughtful details that highlighted our personalities. I designed all of the wedding collateral myself; as well as favors, table numbers, and our cloth napkins! Using many of our favorite local, small businesses as vendors really helped make the day what it was. A true labor of love!

Handmade details, a stunning bridal cape, and 100 pumpkins are key ingredients for this fall wedding at Dandy in Milwaukee planned by Rosewood Weddings. Every awesome moment captured by photo mastermind Cassie Rosch:

Whitney shares her styling journey: The beauty of a wedding dress is that it can be exactly what you want it to be. ‘Why spend a lot of money on something that would only be worn once’ was my thinking. I went for a simple Shona Joy dress that I found online (I’ll be having it altered to a midi dress, so I can wear it again), paired with a long pearl embellished cape by Prim + Prairie on Etsy, and the crown jewel – a custom, 100% beaver felt hat handmade by Royal Stag Hats. Because I oftentimes wear hats, I thought what better time to splurge on something special that I’ll wear forever? Something that feels perfectly me!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Walking up to Trevor on the roof with his back turned to me for our first look! He had read a note that I’d written him, and when he turned around to look at me the look in his eyes was indescribable. I never want to forget how I felt at that moment. A close second would be getting ready in my hotel suite with all of my best friends the morning of. Mimosas, food, hair and makeup – you name it. The whole day was just a dream.
