    Simple recipes that tick all of the most important boxes for my restricted diet. I appreciate the accessibility, lack of hard to find and/or very expensive ingredients, and the over all health knowledge shared. I’ve made many of the recipes, altered a few, and am happy to say this book is kitchen counter worthy.

    Particularly love the chocolate granola 😉. 224 Some really good low carb vegan recipes- if that's your thing. 224 I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK. The 4-weeks of menus in the back are a life saver. She is very clever too and recommends picking up ingredients at the local grocery salad bar if you won't be using very much of something - which applies to me. Go get a copy. 224 This is a great recipe book especially if your just staring out as a keto vegan! The instructions are easy to follow and all the recipes I’ve tried have worked! There is also some great information on the changes you can expect while transitioning to a keto vegan diet that I thought were accurate 224 Very good book. I purchased this one for myself. It helped with my journey on a vegan keto diet. I have lost 45 lbs since Christmas 2018 and have gone from a size 18-20 to a size 8 to 10! 224

    I really appreciate this book. I am a keto vet, but new to veganism and there are unfortunately some very poor resources for vegan AND keto. Liz MacDowell's website has been an invaluable resource for me, and this book is a reflection of her work there. I particularly appreciate the meal plans that are included because it definitely made it easier for me to get started.

    The biggest boon is that I have been meticulously logging all of my meals using CRONometer, and I am hitting most if not all of my micronutrient needs AS WELL as my macronutrient needs. This is HUGE for me because one of my biggest challenges with trying to step into Vegan cooking has been ensuring that I have complete micronutrients and amino acid profile.

    I did remove one star because as helpful as this has been I do have a couple of concerns, namely the prominent use of hemp seeds (too many omega fatty acids in diet? too much fiber for fiber sensitive IBS?), flax seeds (will the increase in phytoestrogen create problems with estrogen dominance?) and the inclusion of soy also concerns me, but to be fair she definitely mentions that if you are not eating soy that you can replace it or skip those recipes.

    Overall, I am very glad to have this book in my collection and I am looking forward to mastering these recipes and concepts of nutritional balance so that I can be more inventive in my vegan keto cooking in the future! 224 Terrific book for everyone interested in eating ketogenic (i.e. low carb) as a vegan / eating vegan while ketogenic. The book commences with a solid explanation about this way of eating and contains loads of interesting, tasty recipes. Think burgers, complete salads, but also bagels and tortillas.

    I own many cookbooks, but I found it a delight to actually be able to make all recipes in a cookbook, as opposed to constantly thinking and calculating how I can adjust recipes to maintain ketosis. It's also just super helpful that I can show people an actual book when they ask what they can cook for me. 224 This book was so jam packed with information! There is not a lot of info out there for vegan keto. Most people associate keto with meat. So I was pleased to find this book and not be let down. In addition to all the learning the recipes were fabulous looking! I used so many post-it flags I needed three packages. Thus three different colors 😆 That’s a sign of a good cookbook imho!

    Edited to add: I’ve since made the walnut “meat” from the Korean BBQ taco recipe. I’ve made walnut “meat” using other recipes before and I’m happy to report that this book wins hands down. This will be my go-to recipe going forward.

    If any other recipes I make are this good I’ll be bumping up to that fifth star! 224 Trying some more of these recipes this weekend. Loved the keto bagels - very tasty! 224 Simple recipes with easy to find ingredients that are used among many recipes- so it's less money to spend. To be honest I haven't tried the recipes in this book, but from being a former and now returning vegan, these recipes sound (and look) amazing. I'm very excited to start in on a vegan keto journey.

    I also found the introductory chapters and final chapters extremely helpful for setting up an initial diet. This seems like a sensible and safe way to go keto. 224
