Good read The Night Hunter: An Anderson Costello Police Procedural Set in Scotland (An Anderson Costello Mystery) by Caro Ramsay (2015-04-24) i love caro ramsay. The Night Hunter: An Anderson Costello Police Procedural Set in Scotland (An Anderson Costello Mystery) by Caro Ramsay (2015-04-24) Wife is the reader The Night Hunter: An Anderson Costello Police Procedural Set in Scotland (An Anderson Costello Mystery) by Caro Ramsay (2015-04-24) Another great book The Night Hunter: An Anderson Costello Police Procedural Set in Scotland (An Anderson Costello Mystery) by Caro Ramsay (2015-04-24) This is not an Anderson and Costello book and is a fraud perpetrated by Severn House Books. Costello appear first on p.75. Caro Ramsay is no longer with Penguin, but with the inferior Severn House, my unfavourite publisher. I suspect that this is a previously unpublished 'bureau' novel, that is, one that has been sitting in Caro's desk (or likely on a floppy disk) for a couple of decades, until she was asked for a book and wrote DI Costello into it. A bit.

The book is nothing like the quality of her Penguin series, which we can assume is now over. Everything is from the viewpoint of Elvie, a decidedly uninteresting individual. It's pretty much a 'missing captured female' novel which is a trope decades old and done better by a hundred other authors. The geography of the book is clumsy, with everyone seemingly having several houses in different locations, helpfully always near each other.

Don't buy this. The Night Hunter: An Anderson Costello Police Procedural Set in Scotland (An Anderson Costello Mystery) by Caro Ramsay (2015-04-24)
