    This reference for scholars contains entries on the sources of various works of Anglo Saxon literary culture, including oral traditional literature as well as written texts. Each entry summarizes the evidence for the currency of a given text in Anglo Saxon literary culture as a whole. Types of evidence noted include extant manuscripts, mention of a work in a booklist, translations of Anglo Saxon versions, quotations or citations, and reference to a work by an Anglo Saxon writer. The entries are organized both by author and by title.
