A good recipe book with relatively cheap ingredients to make wholesome food. I love beans and cooked right they are delicious. Ideal for people on a tight budget that can’t afford meat everyday, or don’t eat meat. There are some recipes with meat but I’m sure they can be adapted. Frugal Cooking With Beans: Over 40 Deliciously Simple Bean Recipes Using Dry Canned Beans Frugal Cooking with Beans is a serviceable cookbook with about a dozen useful recipes in the bunch. Nothing here much different than you can find for free on the Internet (indeed, the photos are all pirated off recipe websites), but if you can get the book for 99 cents or free through Kindle Unlimited, this slim cookbook is worth a gander. Frugal Cooking With Beans: Over 40 Deliciously Simple Bean Recipes Using Dry Canned Beans Good book, good looking recipes. I would recommend it to anyone who likes beans. I only gave it 4 stars because all the recipes aren't what I'd consider frugal as the title suggests. Some of them have many ingredients which would definitely drive up the cost. Not to mention that some of them aren't so simple. But overall I enjoyed reading it and look forward to making several of the recipes. I did think that it was a little unnecessary to add the vegetarian option to many of the recipes, which pretty much consisted of omit the meat. While it makes sense, it kind of feels like filler as any person that cooks should know that recipes should be tweaked to your liking. If you don't like onions, don't add them, if you don't eat meat, don't add it. Or is this some secret that I just happened to be privy to?
