    It is a well known fact that for a great many years there has not been the slightest improvement in the run ning gear of stock cars. The present running gear is calculated to jolt and knock the cattle about so as to reduce their value. I contend that there is room for de cided improvement The mechanical problem is one which the transportation companies are able to solve, but I think it becomes all stock Shippers to recognize the fact that they are suffering materially and at least should file a respectful protest.
